Yesterday was quite a day. We woke up early and cruised to Charleston, South Carolina. It took us three hours to get there and three hours to get back, but it was well worth it! I have never been to the East Coast or the South for that matter. The water was really warm. The only scary thing about it, was seeing a fin in the water. It was really close to where Tyler was swimming, so I started flailing my arms and yelling at him to get out of the ocean. Naturally Tyler didn't take me seriously and took his sweet time getting out. A local guy saw how I reacted and was nice enough to come over and reassure me that it wasn't a shark. Apparently there are a lot of dolphins in the area. The only sharks around, he said, were little ones that only came out really early in the morning. I love the Atlantic! We had a beautiful day.
This building was built in the 1680's. Most of the buildings in historic downtown Charleston were from the 1700's.
Ciara . . . I would have had a complete heart attack at that fin thing. I'm scared to swim in lakes because I'm sure that somewhere in the world there really is a "Monster" living under there and it's going to come out the day I'm swimming and I'll have my own little horror show right in the middle of the lake. Have you seen those Discovery shows about the ocean?????? There are seriously SCARY things living down in the way deep. :( In previous lives they must have been really bad. I'm thinking that maybe that's where those one-third of satan's hosts are living. Who knows. It's just another one of my brilliant theories. Anyway, my other favorite picture is of Livi and Ciara with Livi's little foot sticking out behind C's back. That's just cute! Of course, they are all lovely and we miss you guys. Can't wait until we can kiss cute little Olivia's beautiful face again. We love you guys. Signing off . . . 10-4 . . . . hasta la vista . .. . Peace . . . and aloha!!!!
Yah, I'd have to say the fin thing would freak me out too! The ocean scares me a little bit, but wow! It looks so fun! I'm a little jealous of the fun places you guys get to see...maybe we'll move away for a while. Might be fun!
YiKES! Remember when Hope and Celeste saw a shark swimming for those two girls in Hawaii. Still freaks me out! You reacted better than me yelling for Tyler to get out. I probably would have quietly snuck out, so that the Shark wouldn't get distracted and come for me. Shawn knows that if he is ever being attacked by a shark....He is on his own!
This reminds me of a time, right after your wedding by the sea, when a certain young stallion that you both know and love up and decided that he should test his will against the great ocean. in the cold. he did ok... it's funny to think that the few times the ocean has been present for you guys, important things have occured.
Ciara and Tyler and my Livi Joy, I miss you guys soo soo much. Thank you so much for the video clips. I just sit and watch them and pine for Livi. You al,l look so healthy and happy. I am doing alot of research and am becoming more and more convinced that vegetarian is the smart choice. You will live an average 13 years longer then the person who eats the typical American way. You should read Dr Joel Fuhrman's book Eat To Live and Disease proof Your Child. Oh well, I digress. I love uou all and miss you more than you can know. Be safe and hurry home. Love you!!!mom
