A stroll in the park~

Last night Tyler came home a little early from work. So, we (me) decided it would be really nice to go to a park. This park was beautiful and quiet. It was so nice to reconnect with nature since being cooped up all day inside. Truly one of the best nights we have had here.

Liv and Cosmo enjoying the green grass.

My little flower child is handing me a flower. So sweet.
It was so nice to be one with nature. Tyler literally was a few feet from this peaceful bunny.
Well we have learned that our daughter is a fearless creature. As you can see, she started walking slowly into the lake, and we thought surely she will stop. Oh no! Tyler had to hurry and go in after her before she walked clear up to her neck in water. We can't help but be a little bit proud of our courageous strong child.

As you can tell, Liv had to ride back in just a diaper.
"Note to self: bring extra clothes for any occasion!"

Liv doesn't even look like a toddler anymore! She looks like a little girl. I hate it that we are missing out on her "terrorizing" you guys moments...I'm surprised that you two got such an independent, fearless child...Oh wait! :) Love her...and you guys too!

The park looks incredible! You guys look like peaceful little flower children. I can't believe how big Livi Joy is getting! Love the bangs and the big brown eyes. Sure miss you guys and would love for you to call more. How's Cosmo? Has he chewed everything in sight yet? Can't wait to see you. Love and Kisses- mom

Whoa! You got a doggie?!! Hopefully we will get one within the next month. I'm pretty sure I've been to that park. I don't remember the name, though. Did you get to see some turtles swimming around in the water? There are some pretty cool spots in the Charlotte area if you can find them. You guys should go check out King's Peak over by Gastonia if you haven't already. It's a fairly mild and short hike with a rewarding view.

Yeah Zach, it's probably the park you're thinking of. It's pretty close to our place here.

We were close to Kings Peak over the 4th weekend. . .actually went to Crowder's Mountain, which was disappointing. There weren't any hikes that were easy enough to take a small dog and a toddler on, so we took the Lake Trail. . .and the lake was DRAINED!!! Bummer. We'll definitely go to King's Peak before we come home this year. Some people in our ward were saying it's where one of the pivotal battles of the revolutionary war happened. Should be cool.
